Dear friends of the Golden Rule Seniors Resource Centre,
We’re delighted to share our October calendar of activities and news with you! Our Centre has become so popular these past few months that our events are filling up faster than a bingo card on a Saturday night.
We’re thrilled to welcome so many of you, but with our cozy space we need to be a little more thoughtful in planning. That’s where you come in: we kindly ask that you register for activities at least 2 days in advance.
Registering is simple: just let us know which activities you plan to attend, along with your name and phone number. This helps us:
- Make sure there’s enough space and chairs for everyone
- Keep activities comfortable and enjoyable
- Manage a waiting list if we reach capacity
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation — together we can make every Golden Rule event smooth, welcoming, and fun!

Join us for our Member Meeting and National Seniors Day Celebration!
Wednesday, October 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm
Enjoy cake, drinks, and a friendly discussion about the future of our Centre.
Presentations on Wednesdays
- Osteoporosis with Tatum Apsit — Oct 8 at 1:00 pm
- Spine Health with Dr. Tracy — Oct 15 at 1:00 pm
- Flu and COVID Clinic with Jason Hoeppner (Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy) — Oct 22, 1:00–2:30 pm (tentative, depending on vaccine availability in the province)
- Stroke Awareness with Patrick McInnis (Advanced Care Paramedic, WFPS) — Oct 29 at 1:00 pm
Tech Support is still every Tuesday at 1 pm
Bring your phone, tablet, and all those mysterious pop-ups - leave with peace of mind and a sense of achievement!
Walking Group in October - every Thursday at 10 am
(weather-dependent of course)
Whether you’re curious about urban pole walking or prefer without poles, everyone’s welcome to join this morning stroll!
