Tech Talk (Computer Lessons) – every second Monday 1:00 - 3:00 PM A session dedicated to helping you navigate computers and other technological devices. Each week covers a different topic. Participants are encouraged to bring laptops, cellphones, tablets, and other devices. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, and the facilitator will assist with challenges such as email setup, account settings, website registration, app installations, and more.
Paint Buddies – Tuesdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Participants bring their own supplies and gather to paint together, share experiences, and explore new techniques. This welcoming space offers good company while you create your masterpiece.
Floor Curling – Tuesdays 12:30 - 2:00 PM Floor curling is an indoor sport where players slide stones across the floor toward a designated target. Our equipment includes a set of eight stones and two targets. Participants are divided into evenly matched teams and take turns sliding the stones. The rules closely resemble those of traditional curling.
Carpet Bowling – Tuesdays 2:00 - 3:30 PM Carpet bowling is a fun indoor activity where players roll balls along a long carpet, aiming to get them as close as possible to the center of a circular target.
Qigong (Chee-gong) – Wednesdays 10:00 - 11:00 AM A physical and spiritual exercise focused on balance, flexibility, and peace of mind through traditional Chinese techniques. Led by our professional instructor, Jan, this class fosters a sense of community while promoting healthy living and mental clarity. Participants often engage in post-session discussions about meditation, mental well-being, and active living.
Lungtivity – Wednesdays 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM The Lungtivity Program emphasizes mindful awareness of breath and lung function, while strengthening the core and diaphragm. Through gentle, progressive core activation and muscle conditioning, this program promotes a holistic approach to respiratory health and overall well-being.
Presentations – Wednesdays 1:00 - 3:00 PM We host presentations on a wide range of topics relevant to the senior community. These sessions provide an opportunity to hear from experts, engage in Q&A sessions, and participate in group discussions.
Pickleball Curriculum – Thursdays 1:00 - 3:00 PM This 4-month Pickleball course helps participants excel at the sport. A professional coach has developed a step-by-step curriculum covering all aspects of the game, emphasizing fitness, socialization, and teamwork. The course alternates between lessons and practice/free play sessions. Commitment to the full program is required, as each lesson builds on the previous one to ensure comprehensive skill development.
Games Club – Thursdays 1:00 - 3:00 PM Our Games Club offers a variety of options, including Cribbage, Bridge, Mexican Train Dominoes, puzzles, Scrabble, and various board games. Newcomers are always welcome to join the fun.
Conversation Café – 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month 1:00 - 2:30 PM Join us for bi-weekly discussions on topics of interest, accompanied by coffee or tea. Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts, life experiences, and questions. A facilitator will guide the conversation, ensuring a friendly and open discussion.
Book Club – 2nd Friday of each month 1:00 - 3:00 PM At each Book Club meeting, participants discuss a book provided for the group once a month. Each session is facilitated by a guide to encourage engaging discussions.
BINGO – Last Friday every 2nd month 1:00 PM Our Bingo game takes place bi-monthly. Bingo cards are available for purchase at 3 for $1. We typically play 8-9 games over the course of about two hours, with prizes and a jackpot to brighten the winner's day.
Movie Afternoon – Last Friday every 2nd month 1:00 PM Join us for a relaxing movie afternoon, complete with freshly popped popcorn. We include one intermission for everyone to stretch, and afterwards, those who wish can participate in a discussion about the film.
